Pharmacy Technician — Per Diem & Temp — Miami-Dade, FL

HCC Pharmacy Staffing is seeking Florida-registered pharmacy technicians for per diem and temporary assignments in Miami-Dade County - Miami, Hialeah, Doral, Miami Gardens, North Miami, Miami Beach, South Miami and Homestead. We cover technician requests from the pharmacies we work with across the county.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and enter prescriptions, and prepare them for pharmacist verification
• Count, pour, package and label medications accurately under pharmacist supervision
• Process third-party claims and work through rejections and prior-authorization requests
• Run the register and pickup window, and route clinical questions to the pharmacist
• Manage inventory - ordering, receiving, returns and outdates
• Keep records and workspaces compliant with Florida pharmacy rules and HIPAA

Qualifications

• Active Florida pharmacy technician registration in good standing (required)
• Retail, clinic or specialty pharmacy experience preferred; national certification (PTCB or ExCPT) is a plus
• Comfortable with pharmacy dispensing software and able to pick up an unfamiliar system quickly
• Accurate data entry and counting, and a calm manner at a busy pickup window
• Reliable - on time for every shift you accept

Independent retail pharmacies, clinic pharmacies, HIV-focused specialty pharmacies, mail-order, long-term care and infusion pharmacies.
